Welcome to the Inn

As I walked into our beautifully decorated sanctuary today, I whispered a prayer asking God to make this church not just a showplace, but a refuge, a true sanctuary where all might find welcome. May the stranger, the unwanted, the alone enter in and see the light. Then, we will truly welcome the Christ Child.

What a beautiful thought! May we, by our actions, announce to all, "Welcome! There is room in this inn."

Honey, let me tell you. That
self-effacing and darling Scarlett
Tanner Hester was doing some serious welcoming on Sunday. Her
"Christmas Train" may run only from Florence to Dillon, but when her "Jesus Train" pulls out of the station you better have packed a lunch if you're on board 'cause that little engine runs all the way from "I think I can" to "I know you can too".

Very well stated, Tom. Thanks for the comment.
