Saw this prayer from the National Council of Churches and found it to offer important reflection. Periodically, I think that it would be a blessed encounter with God to create personal responses like this to the Lord's Prayer.

Thanks for sharing this. Bishop Willimon's book "Lord, Teach Us" was a powerful appeal to not let the praying of The Lord's Prayer become ritualisic and performed without thought. It has taken on a whole new meaning since studying the book, and praying it has become the spiritual highlight of the Sunday worship service for me. This author from the NCC further demonstrates the timeless nature of the prayer and how relevant it can be for us today.
