Watercrunch

I enjoy reading my son's blog, Watercrunch, even though sometimes I don't fully appreciate some of the more scientific information that he often includes. However, the element of a mother's pride prevails and I faithfully read whatever he has to say. I think that his post for today is especially noteworthy.

Speaking of water issues, it is raining today! Praise the Lord!

I thought this post was insightful.

In 2006, The Coca-Cola Company used approximately 290 billion liters of water for beverage production. Approximately 114 billion liters were contained in products, and another 176 billion liters were used in beverage manufacturing processes such as rinsing, cleaning, heating and cooling. Therefore, it took one and half extra bottles of water to make that one bottle of Coke that you enjoyed yesterday.
